This beautiful gallic helmet is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a high qualityauthentic yet affordable helmet. This carefully handcrafted Celtic helmet offers excellent value for money and is an ideal addition to any roman armour.

The historical original dates back to the 1st century BC and was found at the archaeological site of Alésia, now Alise-Sainte-Reine in the Côte-d'Or department of France. The site became famous for the Battle of Alésia in 52 BC, in which Julius Caesar defeated the Gallic troops under Vercingetorix.

This detailed replica is made from 1.2 mm steel. A special feature of this helmet are the decorative lines around the skull and the narrow brim, which is slightly flared at the back to form a neck guard. Additionally, a semi-circular groove runs along this section for added detail. The cheek guards are attached with two rivets. The edges of the helmet are rolled all around and the inside is blackened for better corrosion resistance. Delivery also includes a padded cap to ensure a secure fit and added comfort.

Suitable for re-enactment, LARP, stage or TV/film, this wearable helmet is most fitting for ancient settings and will make your transformation into a Celtic warrior or Roman legionary just perfect. Of course, it will also make a great addition to any helmet collector’s treasure chamber.

Specs may slightly vary from piece to piece.

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain helmets (and armour in general) on a regular basis, for example using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
