This intricately crafted Greek helmet is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a high quality yet affordable piece of armour. This carefully handcrafted helmet offers excellent value for money and is ideal for completing the armour of a Greek Hoplite.

Themistocles (524 BC – 459 BC) was an important Athenian politician and general during the Persian Wars. He is especially renowned for his decisive victory over the Persian fleet in the Battle of Salamis in 480 BC. Under his leadership, the Athenian navy, with only 300 ships, managed to largely destroy a vastly superior Persian force of around 1,200 warships.

The helmet is made from 1.2 mm steel with an antique bronze finish and is inspired by the classic Corinthian helmet that emerged in the early 7th century BC. It features a solid steel crest and the characteristic cheek and nose guard typical of this helmet type. The edges are rolled all around, and the interior is blackened for better corrosion resistance. The riveted, high quality, adjustable leather liner ensures a secure and comfortable fit, while the pre-punched leather chin strap allows for a custom fit.

Suitable for re-enactment, LARP, stage or Film/TV, this fully wearable Greek helmet is most fittings for ancient settings and will make your transformation into a Greek soldier just perfect. Of course, it also makes an excellent addition to any helmet collector’s treasure chamber.
